About Sophie

Chartered Physiotherapist & founder of Physio On The Hill

Sophie, Chartered Physiotherapist at Physio On The Hill

Hi, I'm Sophie.

I have been a Chartered Physiotherapist since 2012, working across musculoskeletal and rehabilitation physiotherapy for over fourteen years. In that time I have helped hundreds of people restore movement, rebuild strength and recover confidence in their bodies.

My journey into women's health is more recent, and more personal.

As a mother to a toddler, I understand first hand the reality of postnatal life. The exhaustion. The changes in your body that nobody quite prepares you for. The feeling that everyone asks how the baby is, but nobody asks how you are. That experience deepened my understanding of what women genuinely need in the postnatal period, and why the right support at the right time makes such a profound difference.

My path into scar therapy and oncology rehabilitation came from another deeply personal place. Following my own experience with breast cancer and surgery, I discovered how little specialist support exists for women navigating physical recovery after cancer treatment. The impact of surgical scars on comfort, movement, sensation and how we feel in our own skin is so rarely talked about and even more rarely treated properly.

Those two experiences changed the direction of my practice entirely.

I trained in women's health physiotherapy and scar rehabilitation because I wanted to offer the kind of care I wished I had been able to access myself. Care that is expert, honest and genuinely understands what women's bodies go through, not just clinically, but personally.

I am currently completing specialist training in scar rehabilitation and oncology physiotherapy, driven by my own experience of breast cancer and a deep commitment to supporting women through cancer recovery and beyond.

At Physio On The Hill, you will always see me. Your appointment will never be rushed. And whatever has brought you here, you will be met with clinical expertise and genuine warmth.

Because every woman deserves that.
