FAQ

Gentle answers to common questions.

If you're unsure whether pelvic health physio is right for you, start here.

Do I need a referral?

No , you can self-refer. If you'd like us to liaise with your GP or consultant, we can provide a summary with your consent.

When can I book after having a baby?

You can book at any stage. Many women come around 6 to 12 weeks postnatal, but it's also common to seek support months (or years) later , it's never 'too late'.

What happens in a Mummy MOT assessment?

We'll talk through your symptoms and goals, assess posture and movement, check abdominal separation, and (where appropriate, with consent) assess pelvic floor function. You'll leave with a personalised plan.

Do you treat C-section and perineal scars?

Yes. Scar rehabilitation can help with tightness, sensitivity, pulling sensations, and movement restriction. We'll guide you with gentle, evidence-based techniques.

I'm nervous , will it be uncomfortable or embarrassing?

You're in control throughout. We explain everything clearly, move at your pace, and only do what you're comfortable with. Many women tell us they feel relieved after the first session.

Do you offer a return-to-running plan?

Yes. We can assess strength, control and impact tolerance, then build a step-by-step plan to return to running (or other exercise) safely and confidently.
