What to Expect During Your Home Visit

Your Mummy MOT® will be conducted in the comfort of your home, providing a relaxed environment for a thorough assessment. The session will last approximately 2 hours and includes:

1. Detailed Consultation

Medical and Birth History: Discuss your pregnancy, delivery, and previous pregnancies.-

Current Concerns: Addressing symptoms such as pain, incontinence, or discomfort.

Lifestyle and Goals: Understanding your daily activities and personal recovery objectives.

2. Physical Examination

Postural Assessment: Evaluating your posture to identify any imbalances or areas of strain.

Abdominal Muscle Check: Assessing for diastasis recti (abdominal separation) and core strength.

Pelvic Floor Evaluation involves examining pelvic floor muscles for strength and function. It may also include an internal assessment, which is optional and conducted with your consent.

Functional Movement Analysis: Observing movements like lifting and squatting to ensure safe techniques.

3. Personalised Treatment Plan

Customised Exercise Program: Tailored exercises to strengthen core and pelvic floor muscles.

Postural and Movement Advice: Guidance on safe lifting, feeding positions, and daily activities.
